Q: Sporty sedan versus crossover?
I currently drive a Mitsubishi Eclipse and love the handling and sportiness of it (my husband dislikes how little it is for him to get in). However, it’s time to get a new car and although my new husband and I are not talking about children right this second, we will in a couple years and I want this car to last through the next 10 years. So half of me still wants the sporty car and half wants the space and decent gas mileage. Should I get a sport sedan (like Nissan Altima or Honda Accord?) or should I get a crossover (like Toyota Venza or Nissan Murano?)
A: I believe only you can decide what fits you best. The Venza, Murano, Accord, and Altima are 4 very good buys. All I can suggest is that you test drive them, sit inside, see if you can live with something larger or something smaller and better handling
And have you looked into anything like a sport wagon? Subaru, Volkswagen and many luxury car brands have some sports wagons that offer great driving performance, good fuel economy, and a ton of cargo room.
Q: Which of these cars would suit me best?
I am a 17 girl in high school and I’m not sure which car I should purchase. I need a durable car that will last me through college. Right now, I would use a car mainly for commuting to school (I have to take my little brother and 2 other of his friends everywhere), the gym, various errands, and church. I need car with a good trunk space to carry all of my friends and my backpacks and some gym bags.
Cars I have thought about:
2010 Chevy Equinox
2010 Toyota Venza
2010 Honda Accord Crosstour
2010 Subaru Outback
If you have any opinions about any of these cars, please let me know.
Thank you very much!
This would be my first car
I meant my friends backpacks and my backpack
A: All four models are a great choice. They are comparable in mpg and price. The Equinox and Outback have 4 wheel drive, so if you ever plan on going skiing or camping this can be beneficial. Toyota and Honda will have a better resale value and less maintenance. Hope this helps.
Q: Do you still believe that Japanese cars are better than American cars as of today?
I was thinking to buy a new car, my first choice is the Cadillac SRX, next is GMC Terrain, Chevy Equinox, lastly is the Toyota Venza.
As you can see 3 out of 4 are American cars. The only thing thats keeping me from buying American cars, is that they said American cars have a bad transmission, and they broke fast.
I dont know if this statement is still true nowadays? What do you think? Some says, that this is true 30yrs ago, but unfortunately until now people are brainwashed.
A: american cars just as good as japanese cars, and they’re a lot less expensive. when was the last time you heard about an american car recall? not in a while. when was the last time you heard about a japanese car recall? last year with the prius.
only reason that people think japanese car is better than american car is because of 30 or 40 years ago with the pinto, nova, dodge (from married..with children). kids back then are parents now so they still believe that american cars are junk. they tell their kids that japanese cars are better so kids think that japanese cars are better.

Q: Need to cover my car doors to keep my dogs from scratching them, any ideas?
I have a 2010 Toyota Venza and I am making a cover out of canvas to cover the back half of the car. But I am not sure how to cover the doors so that they do not get scratched. I really don’t want to stick anything to the plastic but any other ideas would help.
I am making a canvas cover to protect the backseat/cargo area from my dogs. I am about done but I am trying to figure out how to keep the canvas along the back doors held up and out. I’ve hung the cover from the front seat headrest posts, the back is held up to the cargo hooks. And I took out the rear shade and used the bolts in the recesses to hold up that part. But I don’t really want to hang the middle from the oh-shite handles, they seem kinda cheap and don’t look to hold much weight. I’m afraid the dogs will try to get at the windows like they usually do and pull it down and tear up the doors, so possibly up to around 300lbs of dogs on it. Anybody have any ideas?
A: How do your dogs get at the car? Isn’t there any way that you can keep the dogs away from the car? Are you talking about the interior? You can buy a cover for the car that some people use when storing them for the winter. If you are talking about the interior, maybe you should try a dog crate.
Q: if you are in a lease for 36 months can you bring the lease and buy another vehichle ?
ok i lease a toyota camry sport package dealer told me that after 1 year he said that i can bring it back and take a new lease ?
my question is that can i tell them i do not want to lease more but i am interested in buying a new vehicle venza full package
{that i already paid for some extra miles}
is that possible
A: Financed cars is more expensive to insurance cause it requires full coverage. You can compare how much you would pay for full coverage of this car using this tool – carquotes.sinfree.net
Q: What Car/Truck to lease??? Help?
I have a 07 Jeep Cherokee, the lease is up at the end of March. So I have a range of options just with the Jeep company. I don’t want to but was given the option to buy it.
What should I do, money is a factor (duh).
I want a truck, I love my camory, but would like to have a truck for the snow.
I want a lease around, or under $350 a month, w/o putting much down.
I dont drive a ton, so ill pay for gas if a get a big truck for a reduced price.
Heres what I’ve starting looking at: (Brand New Models)
Jeep Cherokee
Jeep Commander (the huge one)
Jeep Liberty (smallest id go)
Toyota 4 runner
Toyata Venza (crossover)
Ford Edge (just like the venza, didnt care for it as much thou)
*Open to ANYTHING!!!
Will I get a BIG truck for the a similar price as a Cherokee? Like I said I dont go anywhere to far, I’ll take the camory on longer trips.
HELP would be apperciated, sry if i wrote too much, lol
Haha, to the guy who said to get a job, thanks for that. I actually do have a job, I own a business, don’t need a car loan either. Was just wondering which type of car will get me the most bang for my buck. Thanks for your brillant life lessons thou.
Anyone with some actual car knowlege would be great thou!
A: Dump your current lease, and buy a Grand Cherokee again. I got my 2008 grand cherokee with 12,000 miles on it for $15,000. It is still under factory warranty until 36,000 miles, and I pay $261 a month to own it! I put $3,000 down, but you can put as little as $100 down.
With Jeep in the crapper right now, there are tons of deals out there on them right now. The 08s have nicer interiors too, with MP3 hookup, satellite radio, and a radio where it tells you what song is playing.
Toyotas are nice, but the pricing on them is steep as they hold their value much better than jeeps. So they will be $$$.
I also saw a 2007 commander near me with 20,000 miles on it, 2 DVD players, 4 sunroofs, leather for $17,000. And under warranty.

IF YOU ARE A CAR SALESMEN HELP~!!!!! GIVE ME ADVICE THANKS
aww i aint a retard so stop making it sound like i am and read my thing it tells you why we owe 70000 its not from the highlander its from previous so yeah thanks keep the answers comming aprricate them
A: I don’t know which Toyota dealer screwed you so badly but they really worked you. You were way too eager to get out of your Sienna and the salesman knew it. He and the sales manager have buried you in the Highlander so badly, there is no way out for you. I wish I could read your contract to find out what they did since negative equity cannot be shown on a contract. that’s the law.
They might have packed the “Dealer Accessories” part of the contract enough to overcome your serious inequity on the Sienna. They also might have lied on your credit application and juggled your info to get the lender to buy it. If they did either or both of this, they committed a felony!
NO LENDER will take your situation to heart today. We’re still in the middle of the worst financial catastrophe since The Great Depression. Loans that they may have considered in Aug of 08 are now being immediately turned down. You’ve only made 5 or 6 payments on the Highlander. You still owe almost $70,000 on it, unless they got you into a Rule 78 auto loan or a personal loan. In which case, you still owe upwards to $100,000 including finance charges !!!
YOU AREN’T GOING TO GET OUT OF IT! Plain and simple. Even if it’s a simple interest loan, you still owe about $66,000 on the Highlander. It may be worth as much as $26,000 in trade. That leaves you with $44,000 in negative equity! If it’s a Rule 78 or personal loan, you’re more than $60,000 in negative equity! No lender, not even the one that bought the note on the Highlander, will consider you at all.
This Toyota dealer really screwed you. Worse than I’ve ever seen before. I’d love to have his franchise taken away and have him banned from ever selling again. You should look over the contract to see if you can find any lies on it regarding your personal information and/or the vehicle information. Then send a copy to your District Attorney. Let him know what happened. Have him look it over for anything illegal on the dealer’s part.
Keep in mind if something like your personal monthly income is inflated, you can be held liable along with the dealer. Both of you could be charged with fraud. But if the dealer told you to change any information in order to get the loan approved, then he alone is responsible. That’s your only hope for recourse in your situation.
Other than that, like your name says, you’re in this Toyota for life.
