Coolant light came on in my 2006 Jeep Wrangler. It was low on coolant; I filled it according to the reserve tank. Now how do I turn off the coolant light? Thank you for your assistance.
A: Maybe drive it a while, it’l turn off.
See if it stayed full. Check radiator level and rad cap for leaks, being fully tighened, or needing replacement due to failure to hold pressure.
Cooling system could be losing coolant in many places.
Otherwise, have Jeep dealer check it.
Q: What kind of switch fits in my 2011 jeep wrangler?
I have a 2011 jeep wrangler sport. I am installing some external lights to the vehicle. i want to mount the switch at the small panel where the hazard light switch is. What kind of switch for the lights would fit in these slots.

Also, you might find a switch that happens to fit. That’s what I did for the foglight switch for my TJ – I just measured the opening and found one the same size in an electrical supply catalogue

I currently have a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, black, but I have a hard top. I want a soft too and hope to get one this summer. Would it be in my best interest to get it from the dealer or is there another brand that you would recommend? Also, if you know the prices of the different brands that would be great!

A: You don’t have to cut the wires,there is a quick disconnect on the door wires under the dash and on the 4 doors it is inside the B post behind the front seats behind a trap door.

I have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler and the rear left lower shock mount continues to crack and break. I’ve had it welded several times, but I don’t think the weld is holding. Is there an after market clamp or something I install?
A: Sounds like your shocks are to long and they are bottoming out on the shock mount pushing the mount right off of the axel. Assuming of course the welds are good. If not reinforce the sides of the mount and weld again, and or I can sell you a new shock mount, or axel bracket kit…

Hello, i need to install a 454 chevy engine onto a 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ that currently has a 2.5L I4 w/ the manual transmission. I would like to know where i can find the engine mount adapters i already checked advanced adapters and nothing. PLEASE HELP!
A: You are gonna have to do some welding and cutting. I would first go find a big late 80’s early 90’s Chevy W/O engine at a boneyard and chop them out and then weld them in place of your old mounts. Thats the easiest, safest and cheapest way i know of to do that.

I’m planning on getting either a 2″ or 3″ lift for my ‘97 Jeep Wrangler. Should I leave my 31s on it or can I go bigger?
A: 32 x 11.50 should fit fine with 3″. You may get a slight rub at full steering lock, but you can adjust the stops to take care of that.
If you’re only going to do 2″ lift stick with 31’s.
Q: How do you turn off the door alarm on a jeep wrangler tj?
there is an annoying alarm that my wrangler Tj has that goes off every time i put the keys in the ignition without my seatbelt on. it also goes off if i open my doors with the keys in the ignition. is there any easy way to disable it, or if anybody knows where the alarm is located in the jeep i will just take it out. thanks.

Q: Is the skid plate on a Jeep Wrangler actually important?
I have a 2004 Jeep wrangler, and whenever I put the skid plate on (the thing that covers the muffler and tranfer case on the bottom of the jeep), the 4 wheel drive cuts out. instead of blowing a bunch of money for a mechanic to fix this, i want to just leave it off. is there anything wrong with this solution?

A: YOU NEED A SUPPORT FOR THE TRANSMISSION AND TRANSFER CASE. No you cannot remove it! No one said this already????
If you remove it then you’ll have to make up a support bar, not hard I did it on my rock crawler CJ7.
Leave it on, and fix it RIGHT. Don’t be cheap and try and hillbilly fix it, it won’t work, and will probably cause more issues (hmm….. like maybe a cracked transfercase? A nice $900 dollar repair).
Q: how can i make my jeep wrangler more fuel efficient?
i have a 2002 jeep wrangler and i love it. but its just so bad on gas. is there anything at all i can do to make it better? i already drive extra careful.
A: feel the same way! tire pressure being correct K&N air filter and hypertech’s econ. i got this for mine and saw a 5 mpg increase. it helps with power too! the only thing that sucks is the price but if you wanna spend it, this helps!
Q: Is it possible to remove the factory subwoofer in a 2007 Jeep Wrangler and replace it with a different sub??
I have the optional subwoofer on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler 2 door. Is it possible to replace that with a different subwoofer and amp USING THE SAME WIRING that is installed for the factory sub.
A: I won’t work on an 01. The stock unit is a different amp than anything after market. You can’t mix and match, won’t sound right. Speakers will heat up and cut out even when volume isn’t that high or it will just sound bad.
Q: Is this alright to do in my 2004 jeep wrangler?

Anytime I am at an intersection, and the light turns green, I always like give it full gas so then I am at like 4,000 rpm and going like 30 mph on first gear then the engine adjusts accordingly. Is this alright to constantly do? Or should I just have a smooth increasing acceleration, just not as fast?
A: Smooth increasing acceleration. You will cause things to break eventually by flooring it everywhere. It’s a Jeep not a race car.
