Q: Is the 2010 Dodge Challenger a good car?
Im only 17 and was looking into cars lately since I will be able to get my license by the end of the year. My favorite car is the Dodge Challenger, I’m not looking into buying but I just want to know is it a good car, is it really a true muscle car, is the v8 Hemi engine really as cool as it seems. Just dreaming about my dream car!!

Short answer (most relevant difference) –
SE has the 3.5 liter V6 with automatic only – lame
R/T has the 5.7 liter hemi with either stick or automatic
SRT has the 6.1 liter hemi with either stick or automatic
bahaa is an idiot – the SRT does not have a Viper engine, Vipers have a V10, not a V8. The 6 speed manual is the same tranny as the Viper though.
There are more features added with these models, but this is the most important difference

A: all depends how nice it is , what engine is in it and what options you have and how bad someone wants it, 72’s with the 340 are going for $18,500 average and the 73’s aren’t that desireable and if it has a 318 that makes it less desirable so that will give you somewhat of a guideline to go by, you could always take it to an appraiser to find out the real value.

A: 1974 was the last gasp for the muscle car era. 1974 Challengers are not as desireable as their 1970 Big Brothers, but they are still desirable cars. When you look at cars as an investment, you have to take into account the condition of the car, work needed to make it “restored”, and the demand for the car.
As it stands, muscle cars (real 1964-1974 muscle cars) are highly collectible. MoPar muscle doesnt have the excitment around it some Mustangs/Camaros do, but they do have a huge following – including me.
At $6500 for a 360 car, its probably a fair deal if its rust free. Check the trunk pan around the wheel wells, roof line around the back window, and floorboards for rust. Rust is the biggest enemy of the early muscle. New Paint can sometimes just be a way to hide damage or repairs, so look down the car carefully for wavy panels, misalinged panels and signs of repair.
Challengers are among the more desirable MoPar muscle cars. Like I said, a 1970 is the best year, but the 74 is still a keeper, and will go up in value over time.

i was looking on dodge.com and i when on the dodge challenger and this year it costs around 21,000$ but last year around $40,000.
A: It’s because the Challenger was so popular they had to mark-up the price for those who TRUELY wanted it.

Considering that it’s for a 20 year old female with two other adults included in the insurance plan of State Farm. Also, the 20 year old has never received a ticket/DUI/ been in any accidents, driving experience is 4 years, car is kept in the driveway, and wants full coverage.

A: It really depends on the specific years and models. I can assume that we’re talking about an S197 GT (newer body style), newer Charger and newer Challenger. If you’re talking about the Challenger SRT8 and Charger SRT8 then it will probably turn out like this:
Challenger will kill both the Mustang and the Charger pretty bad. The Mustang and Charger will come down to who’s the better driver.
If you’re talking about the R/T Challenger and Charger then it will play out like this:
Challenger will still beat both, but the race will be closer. The Mustang will beat the Charger pretty easily, probably by one or two car lengths.
Q: Gran Turismo 5 Dodge Challenger?
I tuned my Dodge Challenger to make it faster and I will be driving and my transmission stops at 5, it won’t go any faster because the transmission only goes to 5. I bought the Fully Customizable Transmission, but I don’t see anywhere where you can change it. Anyone know how to fix this problem?
A: Not all cars will upgrade to 6 gears after the custom tranny upgrade.
A 6th gear is not crucial if the tranny itself is customizable (though it would be nice to get the independent gear ratio adjustment issue resolved).
A car like the Dodge Challenger doesn’t need 6 gears anyway.

A: It’s a great car. But for a 15yo get yourself the v6 model…you will kill yourself in a Hemi.

A: you cant chip it but you can add a programmer to it ,edge or bully dog either one makes a real good programmer for it,but dont expect to much from that engine it has its limitations on horse power, good luck.
